Bloco das Piriguetes opens Rota da Folia Manaus project at Podium Arena da Amazônia

Manaus (AM) – The first months of the year will be marked by the Rota da Folia Manaus project, which promises to innovate the 2024 carnival with fun, safety, affection and sustainability. The first stop starts with the intrepid Bloco das Piriguetes, this Saturday (13th), at the Podium of the Arena da Amazônia, in the Central-West Zone, starting at 5pm.

In addition to several musical attractions, there will be cash prizes for the best dressed and most fun participants. With more than a decade of history, Bloco das Piriguetes was created in 2011, and had its 1st edition the following year.

“In 2024, the group returns to the Podium with great relaxation for an estimated audience of 10 thousand participants. As usual, there will be cash prizes for the best piriguetes (men dressed as women, and the best male and female costumes)”,

said the block’s creator, Erick Guimarães.

In addition to the awards, the Block will have two environments, a VIP area, a hydration island, shows by Uendel Pinheiro, Guto Lima, Bagaceiros do Forró, Vanessa Auzier, Dennys Salvador, DJ Evandro Junior and Samba Xote, special participation by DJs Alex Marcks and Laila Abreu, and singers Jéssica Lima (cover by Marília Mendonça) and Claudinho Dias.

Route in detail

The Rota da Folia Manaus project is signed by Sintonnia Artística and Arsenal Produções, experts in organizing major events in Amazonas.

To this end, they intend to take lovers of momo revelry on a free route that brings together the best and most irreverent bands in the city: Bloco das Piriguetes, Bloco das Piranhas and Banda LGBT.

The main stage of the Rota da Folia Manaus 2024 will be the Podium of the Arena da Amazônia, considered by event experts to be one of the best places to hold parties in the capital of Amazonas, with ample parking and an excellent location.

The expectation is that at least 70 thousand people will participate in the events, which will also feature CarnaBrega and Banda Raça Rubro Negra — Fla Fun Fest, the biggest Flamengo fan base in Brazil.

In addition, the event will have an official launch party, feijoada and warm-ups from Bloco das Piranhas, Rota’s flagship.

Pay attention to regulations for children and adolescents

The organizers of the Rota da Folia Manaus project promise rigor in complying with the rules of the Public Security authorities of Amazonas and the Infrequent Youth Court/Comarca Manaus, in the person of the Chief Judge, Eliezer Fernandes Júnior.

According to Ordinance No. 003/2023-GJ/JIJI, “the entry and stay of children under 12 years of age in Carnival bands and blocks, in public or private places, is prohibited, even if accompanied by their parents and/or guardians. Teenagers over the age of 12 (twelve) years of age are permitted to join bands and blocks as long as they are accompanied by one of their legal guardians or companions.”

Traditional Piranhas Block

Created 44 years ago by a group of friends from the Parque 10 neighborhood, in the Central-South Zone of Manaus, Bloco das Piranhas has gained maturity and a lot of tradition. One of the bloc’s hallmarks is that men join in the fun with feminine costumes and extravagant makeup, which makes them pioneers in irreverence.

After growing and evolving so much, the 40-year-old had to ‘leave home’ and now arrives at the Arena da Amazônia Podium to show why they are one of the most beloved bands among Amazonian families.

Banda Raça Rubro Negra

Also on the Rota da Folia de Manaus 2024 is Banda Raça Rubro Negra – Fla Fun Fest.

They are noisy, organized and collect titles under titles. Flamengo’s biggest fan base in Brazil, Raça Rubro Negra in Manaus, has existed for almost 30 years and will bring together “Mais Querido” fans on January 27th, at the Clube da Politics Federal, in the Central-South Zone.

LGBT band

The plurality of colors, peculiar to the LGBTQIAP+ movement, will be present in several spaces of the event on Rota da Folia. From the stage to the walls, including the electronic tent, everything has a trademark.

In 2024, the LGBT Band reaches its eighth edition, with the aim of dialoguing with an estimated audience of 8 thousand people, to focus on culture, politics and the social, also dressing with great pride, joy, words of order, music, glitter, the most diverse expressions and a lot of representation.

Banda LGBT had its first edition in 2017.

CarnaBrega

Carnival block that will make the public dance and have fun to the sounds of brega, with the biggest hits of the rhythm, from romantic classics to the most lively and painful hits.

CarnaBrega 2024 is the ideal block for those who want to throw themselves into the festivities without losing their good humor, charm… and their horn.
