Auditions for musical groups at Liceu Claudio Santoro start this Monday (4)

Tests can be taken by already active students or by those interested in joining the school

The Claudio Santoro Arts and Crafts School announced the dates for auditions for musical practice groups. Those interested must attend the desired unit on March 4th and 5th, being able to choose between Sambódromo, Padre Pedro Vignola and Magdalena Arce Daou.

For the Liceu Sambódromo, participants who wish to audition for the Children’s, Children’s and Youth choirs must go to the venue between 2pm and 5pm. For those interested in the Adult Choir, the opening hours are from 6pm to 8pm. Auditions will be held in the Choir Room, located in Block E of the unit, with the exception of the Young Choir, which takes place in Block B.

At the Padre Pedro Vignola unit, located at Rua Tupinambá, 119, Cidade Nova, the opening hours are from 2pm to 5pm for the Adult Choir and from 6pm to 8pm for the Musical Band. Both auditions take place in the Music Room.

The Magdalena Arce Daou unit will carry out tests only for the Adult Choir, which take place from 6pm to 8pm in Dance Room 2. The place is located on Avenida Brasil, s/n, in the Santo Antônio neighborhood.

To carry out the auditions, the interested person must simply appear at the location on the defined day and time and be within the age range determined for each group, with no registration or prior scheduling required.

Group participants have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in spaces managed by the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, such as Teatro Amazonas, for example.

According to the director of the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Claudio Santoro, maestro Davi Nunes, these activities that go beyond the classroom aim to prepare the student for the professional sphere in the artistic world. “All of our students need to practice what they are learning in the classroom, which is why there are groups. This process is extremely necessary for our students to have an important experience for their technical and professional development, whether in music or in dance and theater groups”, he highlighted.
