Athletico renews contract with midfielder Erick

O Athletico renewed contract with the steering wheel Erick this Thursday (11). The link with Hurricane, which ended at the end of 2025, is now valid until the end of 2026.

Holder, number 26 is in his sixth season for Athletico and recently won his sixth cup (Paranaense 2024) with the red-black shirt. Club and athlete had been discussing renewal since the beginning of the year.

In 2024, Erick was the target of Corinthians. Timão reportedly presented a proposal of 6 million euros (more than R$32 million at the current price), which was rejected by the club. Erick has 238 games for Athletico, with 113 wins, 19 goals and 11 assists. In the current squad, the midfielder is only behind defender Thiago Heleno (342 games) and striker Pablo (283 games).
