Athletico players take stock and project centenary

After the last round of the Brasileirão, the players from Athletico They took stock of 2023 and have already projected the next season. The athletes recognized that expectations were high, but that the year, without any significant title, ended up being frustrating.

O Eric steering wheel said that Furacão needs to learn from its mistakes and that early eliminations in the cups (Libertadores and Copa do Brasil) influenced the Brasileirão.

“We lacked a bit of reaction power. In my opinion, we have a very good squad, with athletes with vast CVs. We had a huge blow due to the eliminations in the cups. I thought that after the eliminations, we would focus on reaching the top of the Brazilian Championship , because there were teams playing two or three competitions. There was a little lack of care in some games and today was the reflection of a very difficult season. But we have to take it as a learning experience and come back stronger in 2024”, added Erick.

O goalkeeper Bento corroborated the midfielder’s statement and stated that the focus will be on the search for recovery and titles in 2024.

“It was frustrating. As I am more identified with the club, I end up feeling it even more than other players. We created a lot of expectations, yes, even last year, when we reached the Libertadores final. Sometimes, we create so much expectation and things don’t work out as we want. It was frustrating for us and for the fans. Athletico sets date for re-presentation in 2024

Athletico set the date for the cast’s representation in 2024. The players will perform again on January 6th (Saturday), with an eye on better achievements in the centenary year.
