Athletico and Londrina will face each other for the seventh time in the knockout phase of the Paraná Championship in the last 10 years. The first leg of the quarter-finals will be this Saturday (2), at 4 pm, at Estádio do Café. The return in Curitiba will be on Sunday (10), at 6:30 pm.
Since 2014, the teams have met four times in the quarter-finals (2016, 2020, 2022 and now in 2024), twice in the semi-finals (2014 and 2017) and decided the 2018 State Caio Júnior Cup, which went to Furacão .

In clashes, Athletico was only eliminated once, in the 2014 semi-finals, the year that Tubarão became champions. On that occasion, the team from the capital won the first leg 3-1, but was defeated 4-1 in Londrina.
With the exception of 2018, which was a single game at the Ligga Arena, Rubro-Negro took the classification in the other games, always in round-trip clashes. Highlight is the 2020 quarterfinal match, when Furacão scored 5-0 at home after a 1-1 draw at Café.
It is also worth remembering that, since the competition has this format from 2020 onwards, Athletico has advanced to the semi-finals every year – twice against Londrina itself, once against Paraná and last year they beat São Joseense.
