Athletes make weight and confirm title disputes at LFA 151, in Cajamar-SP

In its 151st edition, the LFA arrives in Brazil, more precisely in the São Paulo city of Cajamar, this Saturday, the 28th, with two belt disputes: José Delano x Gabriel Souza, for the featherweight title; and Julia Polastri x Brenda Gotting, for the women’s strawweight bout.

The four contenders for the belts confirmed the dispute when they went through the scales at the official weigh-in held this Friday.

Protagonists of the edition, José Delano and Gabriel Souza, “Mosquitinho”, won the chance to dispute the featherweight belt by winning their semifinals, both held at the end of last year. This Saturday’s winner will finally receive the LFA crown.

Before, in the penultimate fight of the night, a duel between Brazil and Argentina. Julia Polastri, from Duque de Caixas, Rio de Janeiro, will face off against Brenda Gotting, an Argentine from Buenos Aires, in the fight that will define the new queen of the women’s strawweight division.

In the recovery phase, Jonas Bilharinho returns to the LFA cage. In search of his second consecutive victory after losing to José Delano in the title fight, the carioca faces Caio Machado, who is coming off a triumph over ex-UFC fighter Gabriel Silva at LFA 143.

LFA 151 will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass with commentary in Portuguese.

This is the second time that the LFA promotes an edition in Cajamar. The first, the last in Brazil last year, was precisely in the city of São Paulo. Furthermore, the organization’s next event in the country will be in the city again, on March 10th.
