Argentina is the most sought after destination to travel in 2024 – 12/12/2023 – Tourism

Brazilian tourists seem to prefer beach cities to spend their holidays, but this is not a rule when it comes to the most popular international destinations. In a survey carried out by Airbnb, a short-term property rental company, Buenos Aires, Argentina, had the highest number of searches among Brazilians who are considering leaving the country in 2024.

The capital of the neighboring country broke records for Brazilian tourists in 2023, from January to July, there were more than 750 thousand. One of the incentives for these trips came from Inprotur (National Institute for Tourist Promotion of Argentina), which offers a voucher worth up to US$100 for anyone visiting the country.

Next, the most sought after destination was Milan, Italy. This year, a train line was opened that takes from the country’s capital —which appears in eighth place in the survey— to the city of fashion and design in less than three hours.

In third and fourth place on the list are Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, and Havana, in Cuba. Both destinations are on Caribbean islands, which are known for their paradisiacal beaches.

Also part of the survey are Zurich, in Switzerland, Miami, in the United States, Lo Barnechea, in Chile and Madrid, in Spain. In tenth place, Argentina appears again among Brazilians’ preferences with Ushuaia.

The study was based on research carried out in the period between January 1, 2023 and September 30 of the same year, for trips throughout 2024.
