Aras creates benefit that boosts attorneys’ salaries – 05/19/2023 – Power

The Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, edited an act on Wednesday (17) that will produce one more benefit to members of the MPU (Union Public Ministry).

Career members who carry out any activity beyond the traditional dispatches of their processes will be entitled to compensatory leave.

They will be able to take one day off for every three worked in extraordinary functions, with a limit of up to ten days of leave per month. They will also have the option of selling them, as long as they are authorized by the attorney general of each branch of the MPU.

The amount will not be subject to the maximum slaughter, deduction of the portion of remuneration that exceeds the salary of STF (Federal Supreme Court) ministers, currently R$ 41.6 thousand.

The act will take effect from January 1, that is, it has retroactive validity for those attorneys who want to claim the benefit from the beginning of this year.

Members of the Public Prosecutor’s Office are already entitled to 60 days of annual leave, excluding the recess of the Judiciary. Career members can also exchange part of these days for percentages of their salaries. These benefits are not subject to the salary cap cap.

In addition to Aras, who commands the MPF (Federal Public Ministry), the attorneys general of the other branches of the MPU signed the text: Georges Seigneur (MP for the Federal District and Territories), José de Lima Ramos Pereira (MP for Labor) and Antônio Pereira Duarte (Military MP).

At the MPF, for example, there are three basic salary ranges: R$ 35.7 thousand (attorneys), R$ 37.6 thousand (regional attorneys) and R$ 39.6 thousand (sub-attorneys general).

Among the functions contemplated by the act of Aras are the accumulation of procedural collection in the exercise of administrative activities of the body, such as integrating nuclei, councils and directorates of the Public Ministry.

The actions of the president and the members of the superior councils are mentioned, as well as the federal, regional or district attorney for the rights of the citizen.

Also mentioned are the functions of members of operational support groups and members of the coordination and review chamber and their sub-chambers, when they exist. In addition to the general magistrate or auxiliary magistrate and the general ombudsman of the branches of the Federal Public Ministry and the exercise of the function of auxiliary member of the general attorneys of the branches of the Federal Public Ministry.

The exercise of the role of secretary-general, director-general or chief of staff of the attorneys-general and deputy attorneys of the branches of the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office are also mentioned.

In addition, the exercise of the function of general coordinator, national coordinator, chief auditor of Internal audit, chief advisor or secretaries, directors or coordinators of administrative bodies linked to the Public Ministry.
