Starting this Tuesday (02), another edition of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup begins. In total, 128 clubs will be looking for the biggest and main youth category tournament in Brazil.
All participating teams were divided into 32 groups, with four clubs each. Each bracket is based in a city in the state of São Paulo, and the first two advance to the second phase.
The players from Amapá’s representative team in the competition, Sport Clube Macapá, have been in São Paulo since last weekend and have already completed their first training session for the match against Vasco da Gama, on Friday (05), at 3:15 pm.
The athletes have been preparing for five months. This is the first time that the team participates in the competition and seeks to go as far as possible in the dispute. The competition is an opportunity for players to show their talent and be noticed by big Brazilian clubs. The Copinha takes place between the 2nd and 25th of January.
Palmeiras is the current champion and will try to lift the Copinha trophy for the third time in history. Corinthians is the biggest winner of the tournament, with ten wins.
