Anoar Samad requests dismissal from the AM Health Department; meet the new owner

Doctor Anoar Samad submitted, early this Tuesday morning (19), a request for dismissal, for private reasons, from the position of Secretary of State for Health. The letter of resignation was delivered to Governor Wilson Lima, who accepted the request .

Governor Wilson Lima thanks the doctor for the important service provided over the two years and nine months in which he was head of the State Department of Health of Amazonas (SES-AM).

As secretary, Anoar Samad was responsible for leading the implementation of important services such as the first ICUs installed in the interior; the performance of kidney transplants and cochlear implants, in addition to the delivery of new Caics +Specialties.

The person taking on the role, from now on, is Nayara Maksoud, a career nurse on SES-AM staff since 2005. Nayara served, among other positions, as deputy executive secretary for health policy between 2019 and 2022, and was director of the Hospital Francisca Mendes until July 2023 and, until yesterday, responded as coordinator of the Amazonas Regulatory Complex.

The new secretary’s mission is to continue the work of strengthening and modernizing the state health network that has been carried out since 2019, with the expansion of medium and high complexity services offered to the population, both in the capital and in the interior of the state, guaranteeing the right to quality healthcare.
