Presenter filed for divorce and protective order

In an interview with the program Domingo Espetacular, on TV Record, which will air this Sunday night (26), presenter Ana Hickmann confirmed that her husband, Alexandre Correa, tried to headbutt her during a fight. “Yes, he came to headbutt me,” she said to Carolina Ferraz, who interviewed her on the program. The information comes from columnist Fábia Oliveira, from the Metrópoles portal, who had prior access to the interview, which is still unpublished.

This is the first time that Ana Hickmann has spoken out, in detail and on open TV, about the domestic violence she suffered from her husband on November 11, when the case came to light. During the interview, she also talks about her request for a contested divorce with a protective measure, based on the Maria da Penha Law.

In the program, the presenter also details the fear she felt during the attack. “I really started screaming, because he wouldn’t let me go, I was scared of him,” she said. She also stated that the attacks were nothing new in the marriage. “I’m the one who’s hurt here and I’ve been hurt for a long time,” she declared, emotionally.

About the case

Ana Hickmann and Alexandre Correa, married for 25 years, had an argument at their home, in Itu, São Paulo, on November 11th. The presenter reported, in a police report, that she was pressed against the wall by Correa, who is a jiu-jitsu fighter. The attack resulted in a bruise on his left elbow, when it was pressed against a sliding door. The scene was witnessed by the couple’s 10-year-old son and employees at the residence. Ana Hickmann sought police help and registered the case as bodily injury and domestic violence.
