The team responsible for the judicial administration of Americanas’ recovery informed the Justice this Wednesday (1st) that the sum of the company’s debt is R$ 47.9 billion. The previous value of the debt announced by the company was R$ 41.2 billion. The company’s administration is conducted by the law firms Zveiter and Bruno Rezende, reported the newspaper O Globo.

The document is the first rendering of accounts by the judicial administrators sent to the 4th Corporate Court of the Court of Justice of Rio. The team stated that “it used as a parameter the list of creditors presented by the Parties under Reorganization (Americanas Group) in court, which can be changed as long as it is formally communicated in the records”.

The company informed that the difference in the debt refers to the total value of the debentures in which Americanas SA owes the companies JSM and B2W, which are also part of the group and are under judicial recovery. On January 19, Justice accepted the request for judicial recovery after the retailer announced a shortfall of R$ 20 billion.
