Giuliany won the gold medal after winning three fights, overcoming opponents from Italy, Sweden and France
Manaus (AM) – Amazonian Giuliany Perêa, athlete from the “Manaus Olímpica” program, run by the City of Manaus, won the world amateur MMA title at the International Federation of Mixed Martial Arts (IMMAF) Championship, held last Saturday (25), in the city of Tirana, Albania. The final victory was, by unanimous decision, against Frenchwoman Delphine Benoaich.
“The representation of this achievement is enormous for us. Giuliany is a determined and very hard-working athlete, who came from the interior of the state and is exploring the world showing her talent. May she serve as an inspiration so that we have more and more women standing out on the world sporting scene”,

Competitor in the Strawweight category (up to 52.2 kilos), Giuliany won the gold medal after winning three fights, overcoming opponents from Italy (submission in the first round), Sweden (knockout in the second round) and France (unanimous decision).
Now holder of the world title, the athlete born in the city of Benjamin Constant (AM) is a two-time Pan-American champion and is part of the Brazilian IMMAF team.
