Event that took place at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center was supported by the Government of Amazonas
Manaus (AM) – Bringing together the best names in national jiu-jitsu, MajesticBjj 3 rocked the Amazonian sports scene last weekend at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center. Winning the belt in the main event, Amazonian Mica Galvão became champion, beating Alexandre “Robinho” by submission.
“We were happy to hold another great fight event. The jiu-jitsu world barn is in our state, and with the support of the Government of Amazonas, this championship only came to enhance our athletes even more”, commented the coordinator of the fight nucleus of the Sport and Leisure Program in the Capital and Interior, +Pelci , Eric Tinoco.
The event featured a card of 16 super fights stirring up the fans present. At 19 years of age, Mica Galvão, the youngest athlete in history to become world champion at black belt, squandered technique and won by submitting his opponent from the back. With the result, the Amazonian won the event’s belt in the under-83kg category.
“Being able to return to my people, my roots is inexplicable, I managed to perform very well and won the title. It is gratifying to see that our sport is having full support from the State Government, I see all of this as a construction that brings great benefits to all Amazonians”, commented Mica Galvão.
In addition to belt disputes and superfights, the third edition of the Majestic BJJ Challenge featured kids duels. Hadassa Crisóstomo, 11 years old, from Amazonas, beat Thayla Bruna by score and won the third title of the competition. For the mother of the champion, Larissa Crisóstomo, events like these are important to show the talents of the land.
“It is a reason for great joy to have participated in an event like this, a mega structure, valuing our state, and our athletes. My daughter was a three-time champion and none of this would be possible without the support of the Government of Amazonas, encouraging our children and showing the world that the north is a storehouse of champions”, commented Larissa Crisóstomo.
