frosty season

Arctic Pocket is open Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm, Saturdays from 10am to 10pm, and Sundays from 2pm to 9pm.

For those who never imagined seeing snow in Manaus, Amazonas Shopping has something super new. The Arctic Pocket theme park is already operating in the development, which allows the public to experience the Arctic climate, without leaving the country.

Blizzard, snowman, snowball battle and Northern Lights simulation are among the attractions at the park, which is operating on the second floor of Amazonas Shopping, close to Alameda Gourmet. Arctic Pocket is open Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm, Saturdays from 10am to 10pm, and Sundays from 2pm to 9pm. Tickets are available via site.

With more than 400,000 tickets sold during the seasons in São Paulo, the Arctic Pocket is the sensation of indoor ice events. Amazonas Shopping occupies a space measuring more than 200 square meters and has many attractions for the local public to enjoy a different experience.

“We don’t simulate snow. We simulate the weather conditions that generate a microclimate that reaches minus 20 degrees and, with this, we guarantee visitors contact with real snow”, explains the project’s creator, Andrés Orozco.

This phenomenon is possible when the temperature reaches -20°C, which causes the ambient humidity to turn the water into snow. The success of the attraction is due to the combination of providing an experience in low temperatures in a tropical country, such as Brazil, in addition to providing real snow and a super snowman, the only one in the country. “The Arctic is not just a place to have fun, it’s a space to make incredible dreams come true”, emphasizes Orozco.

Upon arriving in space, the public is invited to experience an expedition into the polar world, complete with lots of snow, on a free route. Children can play with little angels or have snowball battles and experience a real snowfall. “We want to offer a magical experience here and we take care of every detail. To ensure safety, visitors need to wear closed shoes to access the site, use thermal and waterproof gloves, and coats, which they can bring from home or rent at the attraction”, explains Marina Ehmke, social media and marketing manager at the Arctic .

Behind the Scenes of the Arctic

To make all this happen, the event involves a giant structure. There are 15 days of assembly, more than 10 trucks to handle everything and 120 people thinking about every detail.
