Amazonas leads meeting of national working group on Information Security

In Brasilia, the event brings together experts and authorities from across the country to discuss topics and share experiences on cybersecurity

Manaus (AM) – Amazonas will coordinate the meeting of the Working Group on Information Security (GT-SI) of State Entities of Information and Communication Technology (Abep-TIC). The event takes place, this Wednesday (23), at Complexo Brasil 21, in Brasília (DF), and brings together experts and authorities from across the country to discuss topics and share experiences on cybersecurity.

In the Presidency of the Working Group for 7 years, the Information Security manager at Processomento de Dados Amazonas SA (Prodam), Lilian Gibson, explains the importance of the work carried out by the group, especially now that cybersecurity has become an increasing concern more pressing for governments at all levels.

“It doesn’t matter if we are talking about a city hall with 5 thousand inhabitants or states like Amazonas and São Paulo, the fact is that all public entities need to concentrate efforts to keep citizens’ systems and data safe”,

“In this sense, we seek to know the best practices in the area of ​​information security, we evaluate the most recent technologies in the area and share successful cases. In this way, we aim to contribute in some way to improving the information security maturity index of the affiliates participating in the group”, she added.

The meeting’s agenda includes a visit to the Information Security Incident Handling and Response Center of the Presidency of the Republic (CTIR.GOV), subordinated to the Institutional Security Office of the Presidency of the Republic.

“The CTIR.GOV is responsible for coordinating and carrying out actions aimed at managing cyber incidents of all bodies and entities of the Federal Public Administration. During the visit, we will seek to facilitate the integration of ABEP-TIC affiliates in the REGIC network, a national network for sharing information on cyber threats”,
