The Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure, Jorge Oliveira, participated this Tuesday (27) in the National Forum of Secretaries of State for Sports, held in Brasília, and announced that, on May 29th, Manaus will host the event . The meeting in the capital of Amazonas will be attended by secretaries from all states in Brazil and municipalities in the interior of Amazonas.
“The main purpose of taking the National Forum to Manaus is to promote a broad exchange of ideas and experiences between different regions of the country, aiming to revitalize and align public strategies and policies for sport at a national level”, said Jorge Oliveira.
The event took place on the Esplanada dos Ministérios, with the participation of the Minister of Sports, André Fufuca, and Sports Secretaries from other states. The event covered several topics, such as regulation of electronic betting, such as Brazilian School Games (JEB’s), Bolsa Sport.
The choice of Manaus as the stage for this meeting not only highlights the city on the map of major national events related to sport, but also emphasizes the importance of considering regional particularities in the formulation and implementation of national public sports policies.
