Manaus (AM) – Amazonas FC is classified for the second phase of the 2024 Copa do Brasil Under-17. Aurinegra’s debut in national youth competitions, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (28), was with a comeback victory over Sant German-RO 2-1, at the Carlos Zamith stadium. Vinícius scored the goals for the Feras da Base twice. Kaique decreased for the visitors.

Qualified for the second phase of the Copa do Brasil, Amazonas FC awaits the winner of the clash between Galvez-AC and Real-RR, who will face each other this Thursday (29), at 6pm (Brasília time). The second phase is scheduled to take place on March 6th and 13th, with round-trip games.

The game

The team from Rondônia opened the scoring in the 14th minute with Kaíque. Amazonas went up in search of recovery and dominated the shares. In the 25th minute, Vinícius took a risk from outside the area and hit Udson’s crossbar. In the final stretch of the initial stage, the Beasts of the Base managed to break through the opponent’s block.

In the 42nd minute, Colombia took a free kick towards the area, the Sant German defense partially cleared it and the ball was left in the half-moon for Vinícius to send a strong and low shot into the left corner of goalkeeper Udson. Amazonas’ first goal in national youth competitions.

In the last play of the first half, Colombia attacked the marker on the right, dribbled past defender Lucas Paquetá with a pen and was brought down in the area, a penalty was awarded.
