There, young people from local communities learn more about this region, which is threatened by illegal logging and mining. In addition to giving students new job opportunities, away from logging and mining, the school also helps reduce school dropout, which is very common in the region among teenagers aged 11 and 12. The school structure was assembled from Amazonian trees that fell naturally. It is powered by solar energy and has high-speed internet via satellite. The place also works as a tourist stop, offering a stay in the middle of the forest.
