This Friday afternoon (18), the coach of the Pre-Olympic Selection, Ramon Menezes, summoned the 22 players to play in the team’s two friendlies in September. The games will be against Morocco’s Under-23 team, both in the city of Fes, in the African country, on the 7th and the other on the 11th.
One of those called up is Igor Paixão, from Amapá, from Feyenoord Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. This is the first time that Igor wears hopscotch.
“Everything in His time”, wrote the athlete on his social network.
These events represent a stage of preparation for the Pan American Games, in Chile, from October 20th to November 5th, and also aim at the Pre-Olympics, which will be held in January 2024, in Venezuela.
“All these athletes are very intelligent, very well trained, both here in Brazil and abroad. Some of them were my athletes here in the Under 20 playing in Brazilian football and today they are abroad. The most important thing is the understanding between them, when you go to a preparation with little time to train, this is fundamental”, said Ramon.
