Amapá will receive a new air cargo transport company; company studies new routes for passengers – News of Brazil

Representatives from Levu and NOA companies shared with the governor, Clécio Luís, the arrival of a new air transport company in Amapá. Initially, the group will work with cargo services at Alberto Alcolumbre International Airport, in Macapá, but is already studying the implementation of new passenger routes.
This is an action that meets a great need, considering that Amapá is an isolated region, with no land access to other Brazilian states. The investment is in line with the objectives established in the current administration’s Government Plan, which seeks to implement integrated logistics to strengthen the economic sector.
“Transportation in the Amazon is a necessity, not a luxury. We are isolated from the rest of Brazil, so air transport is a necessity in all fields, from business to health services. Excellent news for Amapá. With the negotiations we are making, we will soon see this novelty flying in the skies of Amapá”celebrated the governor.
Privileged geographical position
Being in the extreme north of the country, Amapá maintains a geographical location considered strategic, due to its proximity to the largest ports in the world, such as Europe, the United States, China and the Panama Canal. In this scenario, air transport becomes the best option when it comes to the movement of people and the flow of Brazilian production to the foreign market.
The company Levu Transporte Aéreo e Logística de Cargas arrives in Amapá through the Norte da Amazônia Airports group (NOA), concessionaire that has managed Macapá Airport since 2023.
“We start with the cargo operation and, now, based on today’s dialogue with the governor, we will start talking about the potential investment to open a commercial passenger flight operation here, directly in the state”highlighted the CEO of Levu Transporte Aéreo e Logística de Cargas, Rodrigo Pacheco.
Headquartered in Campinas (SP) and created in 2022, the airline operates specialized in storage and transportation. Levu’s CEO met with the State governor alongside Fábio Fischer and Manoel Neto, both from the management of the Agemar/NOA Airports group.
Economic development
Focusing on expanding economic activities through the private sector, the Government of Amapá has participated in debates and negotiations with national and international enterprises.
“We are also in other negotiations to create a connection between the cargo unit and the Port of Santana. We work so that, in this way, we can generate new business opportunities in Amapá. We are working hard to realize this frontier of the future”highlighted Clécio Luís.
The Government seeks to plan infrastructure with elements that support socioeconomic development. To this end, works are planned to reduce costs and enable the expansion of projects, combining air transport with road and water transport, such as the duplication of the AP-440/KM-09 Highway; the paving of the Farinha Seca branch; and the implementation of the port/logistics terminal at the Port of Santana.
On another front, the NOA Airports group has demonstrated to investors the feasibility of creating new air transport routes for people in Macapá, including international flights.
