As part of the Amapá Government’s strategic training policy, public security agents in the state began this Monday, the 3rd, the Operational Interview Techniques course promoted by the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin), of the Federal Government, in partnership with the Public Ministry of Amapá (MP). The opening took place at the State Attorney’s Office Auditorium.
The training that takes place until next Friday, the 7th, brings together members of state and federal social defense agencies that work in Amapá. The objective is to improve, offering new subsidies, the techniques that can be adopted to gather information, verify which means are competent to obtain confessions, learn about the risks that may occur in investigative situations, and how to proceed in such situations. The Acting Governor, Antônio Teles Júnior, emphasized that intelligence actions require a sharp critical sense from the professional, mainly to work with the peculiarities of Amapá and the Amazon region.
“We need to have a very strong intelligence strategy that aims to disrupt the criminal groups that want to establish themselves in the daily lives of Amazonian cities. So when Abin comes into this strategy to better understand this dynamic, it comes with all its information management capacity”, detailed the governor.
With improved knowledge, the public agent will be able to form an opinion about a particular police incident and help resolve criminal situations. The intention is also that trained professionals in Amapá become multipliers within each institution they represent, as pointed out by Abin’s superintendent, Júlio Cesar Pereira Júnior.
“We ask professionals that when they return to their institutions of origin, they do not keep this knowledge, that they share it with their co-workers so that this course is profitable and reaches as many agents as possible”, said the superintendent.
