Amapá delegation prepares to compete at the Praia Universitários Brasileiros Games, in São Luís – News of Brazil

From the 23rd to the 30th of April, the Brazilian Confederation of University Sports (CBDU) will be hosting the Brazilian University Games (JUBs) Beach, in São Luís, Maranhão. The competition has around 2,500 athletes from all over the country, aged between 17 and 23, competing in 12 sports.
The delegation from Amapá is getting ready to participate in the event with a total of 56 people including leaders, physiotherapists, coaches and athletes. The student athletes are from the Federal University of Amapá (Unifap), Federal Institute of Amapá (Ifap) and Unip-Macapá and will compete in nine modalities for men and women.
This is the largest university delegation to participate in the Games. In 2022, the highlight was the Cross Training duo, Alan Monteiro It is Paloma Araujo, from Unifap, who were runners-up in the doubles.
The teams and athletes are in intense preparation for the dispute. Training takes place at Unifap, Ifap, Raimundo Adamor Center and blocks of sand in the capital. “Our expectation is that we will be able to overcome all the barriers encountered and bring a greater number of medals to the state”points out the president of the Fadap, Olivaldo Oliveira.

The Brazilian University Games (JUBs) – Praia are organized by the Brazilian Confederation of University Sports (CBDU) and serve as qualifiers for the South American University Games and the World University Games.
