AM deputies approve Lula Government announcement that includes BR-319 in the 100-day Plan

Manaus (AM) – Initially out of the Federal Government’s 100-day Plan, the BR-319 was included by the Ministry of Transport, this week, in the list of highways that will be covered by repaving works and other services. To Em Tempo, parliamentarians from the Amazonas bench stated that the decision is positive for guaranteeing the integration of the state with the rest of the country.

According to the Ministry of Transport, work should start in the first half of April. The announcement of the 100-day Plan was made on January 18th by the Minister of Transport, Renan Filho. However, BR-319 was not on the list of contemplated highways.

The government went back and included the BR-319 in the 100-Day Plan. The actions on the highway connecting Manaus to Porto Velho, in Rondônia, will include basic and executive engineering projects and the execution of all the necessary steps and actions required in the environmental licensing process.

The highway will also be contemplated with the implementation of land portals for integrated inspection nºs 3 and 6. According to the government, the portals will be installed at the meeting point between BR-319 and BR-230, located in the municipality of Humaitá , 591 kilometers from Manaus, and on the BR-319 connection with the municipality of Manaquiri, 54 kilometers from the capital.

The elected federal deputy Saullo Vianna (União Brasil) told Em Tempo that the decision is important for the state, as the road will be an “integration of Amazonas with the rest of Brazil”. He also highlighted that he intends to remain “diligent” with the Federal Government, “so that we can finally deliver the BR319 to the people of Amazonas”.

“It is inconceivable for Amazonas to be connected by road to another country, Venezuela, and not be connected to Brazil. With the road, the prospect of development in the state and especially along the road will grow considerably”,

declared.

Another deputy who received the announcement of the works on the BR-319 in a positive way was Silas Câmara (Republicans). To Em Tempo, he said that the BR-319 needs a political decision from the executive branch, and stressed that parliamentarians from Amazonas are already taking a position to guarantee the execution of works on the highway.

“I am happy for the inclusion of the BR-319 in the 100-day priority, assuming that the PT was in charge of the federal government for about 14 years, and very little was done for the BR319, let’s wait to know what will happen concretely in these 100 days, but I hope that something actually happens”,

stated.

Signaling

Also part of the Federal Government’s 100-day Plan is the implementation of new signage for the road network in Amazonas, with the BR-Legal 2 project. . The purpose of signaling, according to the Ministry of Transport, is to prevent traffic accidents on the highway.

“The forecast is that services to the state will be launched in the coming days, covering segments of BRs-319/AM and 174/AM, in lot 1, and BRs-230, 317 and 319/AM, in lot 2”, he informed. .
