Allies point to persecution of Bolsonaro after complaints

Allies and supporters of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) point out the developments on the latest facts related to the jewelry cases and the hacker’s statements to the CPMI on January 8 as “persecution” of the former president and an attempt to “stain” Bolsonaro’s image to weaken it politically.

Deputy Alberto Fraga (PL-DF), deputy leader of the party in the Chamber, is one of those who claim that the former president is a victim of “persecution”. Fraga assesses that a possible confession by Mauro Cid – as it was aired by the defense of the former aide-de-camp and was later replaced by a new version -, in which he could say that he was only following orders, will not implicate Bolsonaro. “Those who shouldn’t, don’t fear”, says the congressman.

The new defender of Mauro Cid, Cezar Bittencourt, would have said in an interview with the magazine Look that Cid would confess to having sold the jewelry received as a gift by Bolsonaro at his behest, but later denied the information, said that there was a mistake and that Cid will not “denounce” the former president.

Valdemar Costa Neto, president of the PL, went to social media to say that the former president can count on the party, and even without mentioning the case of jewelry, he said that Bolsonaro is honest, competent and hardworking.

Another Bolsonaro ally who defends him is deputy Júlia Zanatta (PL-SC). wanted by People’s Gazette, the parliamentarian also assesses that the former president is suffering relentless persecution. This week, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court, authorized the breach of banking and tax secrecy of Bolsonaro and former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, in the case of the alleged scheme to sell jewelry received by the couple during the government, and that would have been sold by auxiliaries.

The Federal Police points out that there are indications that Bolsonaro, Mauro Cid and other advisers directly linked to the former president acted to sell high-value gifts received by Bolsonaro due to the position he held.

Bolsonaro that Cid had autonomy

Paulo, the former president stated that Cid “had autonomy” and that he wants to “clear up as quickly as possible” the case of jewels.

Allies criticize Bolsonaro hacker accusations
