The Legislative Assembly of the State of Amapá (Alap) inaugurated this Tuesday (16), the office of its Special Women’s Attorney’s Office, a space with three environments, located on the 3rd floor of the annex building Department Jarbas Gato, of the House of Laws.
The ceremony was attended by the president of Alap, Dep. Alliny Serrão (União); the deputy governor of Amapá, Teles Jr (PDT); of the President of the Court of Justice of Amapá (Tjap), Des. Adam Carvalho; of the Alap woman’s attorney, Dep. Edna Auzier (PSD); and the general public defender of Amapá, José Rodrigues; in addition to other authorities.
Created in 2018 and made up of deputy prosecutors, the Office relies on the technical support of the entire structure of Alap to receive, process and follow up on complaints of violence against women, in addition to publicizing any initiative relevant to the topic provoked or implemented by the state legislature. ”It is very important that we are inaugurating this room, an exclusive and differentiated space so that the available team can provide assistance to women victims of violence in the best possible way, guiding and referring them to the network of services for women existing in the municipality in cases of complaints”, explains Dept. Edna Auzier (PSD), holder of the organ.
It is also incumbent upon the Special Attorney for Women to monitor the execution of state government programs aimed at promoting gender equality, as well as the implementation of educational and anti-discrimination campaigns, in addition to cooperating with national and international organizations aimed at implementing policies for women. women, among other skills.

The Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women of Alap has in its composition, in addition to the Prosecutor Dep.
