Administrative meeting closes meeting of General Inspectors at MPAP – News of Brazil

The 135th Meeting of the National Council of General Inspectors of the Public Ministry of the States and the Union (CNCGMPEU) ended this Friday (6), after two days of intense debates and administrative discussions. The event was led by the president and general inspector of the Public Ministry of Bahia, Cleonice Lima, and by the host, general inspector of the Public Ministry of Amapá (MP-AP), Jair Quintas, in the meeting room of the Fecomércio/AP Board of Directors , in Macapá.

Among the topics highlighted on the second day of the meeting are Resolution no. 244/2022 of the National Council of the Public Ministry (CNMP), which establishes criteria for promotions, removals based on merit and exchanges of members of the Public Ministry, as well as Resolution no. 224/2021-CNMP, which deals with the prohibition of the exercise of coaching and similar activities by members of the Brazilian MP.

During the event, the prosecutors and advisors of the MP-AP General Inspectorate, Neuza Barbosa and Anderson Batista, presented the project “Conversa com a Corregedoria,” launched in September. This project, inspired by the “Café com a Corregedoria” of the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais, aims to promote the integration and improvement of the institutional functions of prosecutors recently entering the ministerial career.

At the end, the members of the Board praised the organization of the event and expressed their gratitude to the MP-AP, especially prosecutor Jair Quintas, also highlighting the participation of local authorities and the warm welcome from members, employees and the people of Amapá.

The president of the CNCGMPEU, Cleonice Lima, thanked and agreed with the opinions of her colleagues, highlighting the importance of the event for the internal administration of the Internal Affairs Departments and for ethical-administrative conduct. She emphasized that the objective is to value best practices and projects for the benefit of the community and citizens, while seeking to identify and correct misconduct.

The meeting, which brought together 20 general inspectors from the Brazilian Public Ministry, also received praise from the general inspector of the Public Ministry of Amapá, who thanked all participants for their presence and the support of the Attorney General’s Office for the success of the event.
