Abraji (Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism) has opened a vacancy for hiring a data journalist to work on the CruzaGrafos project team, carried out by the association in partnership with the public data access platform Brasil.IO.
The project, which is supported by the Google News Initiative, is a graphical tool for cross-checking and investigating public data.
The job requires mastery of electronic spreadsheets and experience with data journalism. Some of the differentials are knowledge of the Access to Information Law, experience with management, writing newsletters and familiarity with programming languages.
The selected professional will occupy the vacancy for four months and may work in person or remotely. Among his responsibilities will be the production of reports on current journalistic investigations, the writing of descriptive texts and tutorials on investigations.
