For digital marketing specialist Aldrin Nery, CEO of A5Mídias, the participation of fighters in television programs and reality shows can help the general public to demystify concepts about combat sports, one of the sports that has gained followers in recent years.

“Today social networks are seen by millions of people. The presence of fighters within this format of television programs certainly collaborates with the process of breaking ideas about the sport. Cara de Sapato, for example, from what I follow, comments on the sport he practices, with tips on health, nutrition and even the psychological issue, bearing in mind the teachings that the sport brings to the fighters’ daily lives”, pointed out the specialist.

Cara de Sapato has experience in reality shows, as in his resume he participated in the third edition of “The Ultimate Fighter Brasil”, in 2014. In reality, the fighter won the four fights he had and became champion in the heavyweight division and landed a contract with the UFC. Afterwards, he migrated to the PFL, already in 2021, where he reached the final and won US$ 1 million (about R$ 5.5 million at the time). In the year before his entry into the BBB, however, he suffered an injury that left him out of the semifinals in the pursuit of the organization’s second championship.

“This history of people from Paraíba contributes to the comments on social platforms. What is interesting for the sport is its organic growth, as the comments made arouse the curiosity of the public that reaches the pages of the modalities and categories that involve combat sports”, he concluded .
