A bowl full of pasta and a head full of wind – 01/03/2023 – Cozinha Bruta

The Twitter profile CHOQUEI (zero reliability, I confess that I follow) appears to me with the following caption the other day: “BRASIL: Pasta served in bowls becomes a trend in pasta restaurants”.
Obviously without any links to click.
I had already received the video of that noodle in a bowl dozens of times. I ignored it for weeks.
I have no patience for this kind of gastronomic nonsense, of crude pyrotechnics to attract attention. Sick of the macaroni inside the cheese, fed up with the milkshake cup smeared on the outside – only to stay in macaroni and bowls.
But the guys from CHOQUEI talked about trends in Brazil. I needed to check this out. Would they be so picky as to invent such a thing?
Yes, they would.
Pasta served in a wine glass has gone viral around the world, but the videos that circulate almost always refer to the same place: a restaurant called La Sicilia, in Gent, Belgium.
Other posts show couples playing the prank at home (bury me alive if there’s a restaurant with a giant teddy bear sitting in an old armchair).
There’s no trend at all. What it has is a lack of subject matter, absence of content and the autopilot that replicates successful things on the internet until absolute exhaustion.
And it’s not just CHOQUEI, the notorious online slot machine. Pasta in a bowl appears in the professional press as if it were a real thing. A TV station reproduced in the studio the ritual of lifting the bowl for the pasta to fall onto the plate.
It’s not cheesy, it’s not corny. It’s absolutely idiotic.
I’m aware that the smartass here has also taken the bait.
But that’s what we have for today. Goodbye.
