Six more indigenous territories will be able to have operations for the removal of those who are considered invaders by the federal government and by the security forces. This statement was made by the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino (PSB), this Monday (20). After the end of actions in the Yanomami indigenous land, in Roraima, the Executive plans to adopt similar initiatives throughout this year in relation to the Karipuna and Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau territories, in Rondônia; Kayapó, Mundurucu and Trincheira Bacajá, in Pará; and Arariboia, in Maranhão.

The expectation of the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is that the actions in the Yanomami territory will be concluded in April. The information is from Brazil Agency. “Our vision is that, in the month of April, this removal will be concluded. On April 6th, there will be resumption of control of the airspace”, stated the minister to the agency. According to Dino, the National Security Force will remain in place for a few months after the removal of the garimpeiros is completed.
