Procedure

Currently, there are already more than 365,800 students enrolled in the state education network for the 2024 school year

Students, parents or guardians, who missed the registration or transfer deadline in the public education network, will be able, from Monday (22), to reserve their place, or change school units. The process can be done online, or in person at teaching units. Assistance for late students will be continuous for all modalities, according to the availability of places in state schools.

Currently, there are already more than 365,800 students enrolled in the state education network for the 2024 academic year, of which 330,044 are from re-enrollment, reorganization and transfer and 35,829 are new students, who requested to reserve their place between the 17th on January 19th. The data are from the State Department of Education and School Sports and the Data Processing Company Amazonas S/A (Prodam).

In the online format, reservations must be made through the portal. After this procedure, students, parents or guardians, must attend the school within a period of up to three days with the student’s documentation to confirm enrollment. Currently, the State Department of Education and School Sports has 17,821 open enrollment requests.

According to the enrollment manager of the State Department of Education and School Sports, Ireland Araújo, the places that were not filled will be available in the system so that students can, at the first moment, reserve a place.

“Now, we move on to another moment within the enrollment calendar, which is serving latecoming students. This phase aims to fill the remaining vacancies, which return to the system, if the person responsible does not confirm the registration, with the delivery of documents”, said Ireland.

Registration confirmation

After completing the reservation process, the person responsible for the student has up to three working days to attend the school and confirm enrollment by presenting all documentation. If documents are not submitted, the candidate loses the vacancy and it returns to the system.

The required documents are:

  • Proof of original education;
  • School Records;
  • Transfer declaration (valid for 30 days) if the candidate comes from a private, federal, other state or municipal network in the interior of the state)
  • Birth certificate (original and copy).
  • CPF and ID (original and copy) of the high school student.
  • Vaccination card (copy).
  • Two recent 3X4 photos of the student.
  • Identification document with photo (original and copy) of the person responsible for enrollment, of the underage student.
  • Updated proof of residence (up to 30 days from the date of presentation).

Calendar

With the opening of the deadline for latecomers, the Department of Education continues the Enrollment Calendar started in December 2023, with the automatic re-enrollment of students. To date, 365.8 thousand students are already enrolled, in all teaching modalities.

New Students

In the period from January 17th to 19th, 35,829 new students guaranteed their places through the enrollment portal and in person at educational units in the state network.
