1st International Conference on Data Science and Public Policy in Amazonas

Event

The event takes place from the 19th to the 23rd of June and will be of a scientific, political and commercial nature.

Promoting scientific-technological exchange, the capital of Amazonas and the municipality of Itacoatiara will host the 1st International Conference on Public Policies and Data Science of Amazonas together with the 2nd Conference on Data Science for Social Sciences. It will be an unprecedented event in the state of Amazonas and will take place between the 19th and 23rd of June with debates on social, economic, environmental and territorial policies that mark the current context, aiming to promote the exchange between Amazonas and Portugal in the Center Region.

International in nature and interdisciplinary, the event is a joint initiative of researchers from the University of Aveiro – Portugal and the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam), with the support of the Government of Amazonas through the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Amazonas (Fapeam), State University of Amazonas (UEA), State Tourism Company of Amazonas (AmazonasTur) and Amazonas High Performance Foundation (FAAR).

The conference will bring together international and national speakers from various states in Brazil, the United States, Portugal and England, both from the areas of data science and public policy, who will participate in seminars, workshops and thematic panels.

The meeting will be held at the Amazonas Convention Center – Vasco Vasques, in the Center-South zone of Manaus, and will bring together academics, researchers, business and political leaders from Amazonas and Portugal, providing for the exchange of experiences in the scientific and technological field.

For academics, researchers, professionals and technicians who wish to submit scientific papers in the areas of data science and public policy, the period for abstract submission will be from February 21st to March 31st.
