Zipline at Caminhos do Mar Park – 05/19/2023 – It’s Right There

A flight 500 meters long, 70 meters above the ground, which travels between São Bernardo do Campo and Cubatão in 60 seconds. This is the newest attraction at the Caminhos do Mar park, which the Parquetur concessionaire will open on June 7th.

The zip line, the first within an environmental conservation unit in the state of São Paulo, was named “Voo da Serra” and will offer the possibility of a different look at the Atlantic Forest and the monuments of Estrada Velha de Santos, closed to traffic. since 1985. Taking off from Casa de Visitas, built in 1926, and landing at Ruínas, a monument still under restoration, the flight also passes over Pouso de Paranapiacaba, one of the monuments that celebrate the Independence of Brazil along the way.

With capacity for two simultaneous launches, the zip line can reach 40 flights per hour and was one of the attractions foreseen in the concession notice to Parquetur, which invested R$ 1 million in its construction. “Of this total, 10% were allocated for environmental compensation”, says Carlos Telecki, director of operations and implementation at the concessionaire.

The Voo da Serra zip line will operate at the same hours as the park, from Wednesday to Sunday, from 8am to 5pm, and it is not necessary to buy a ticket to the park to get there. Costing BRL 99 per person, the first month will have a promotional rate of BRL 60 on weekdays and BRL 75 on weekends and holidays. Still in June, anyone flying the zipline will win a ticket to visit the entire park, where you can take the Historical Route, with 8 kilometers of asphalt, or the Ecotourism Route, with 3.5 kilometers along the stones of Calçada do Lorena, first path paved with stones connecting the plateau to the coast, where goods traveled in the colonial period.

Another option for a tour in the park is the Roteiro Aventura, which travels 4.5 kilometers along the trail that leads to Cachoeira da Torre, which must be scheduled in advance on the park’s website.
