Young man disappears after leaving Maracanã

Carlos Henrique de Oliveira Salles, 25, disappeared after leaving the Maracanã stadium on Sunday (19), after the end of the derby between Vasco and Flamengo. The family seeks information about the whereabouts of the young man, who was a Cruzmaltino fan.

Carlos went to the game with a group of ten Vasco fan friends divided into two cars parked in the UERJ parking lot. He was wearing the club shirt.

In contact with the report, sister Ana Clara explained that Carlos got lost on the way out.

“They left for sector B and halfway through they realized that my brother wasn’t with them. They don’t know if he stopped for something. When they realized it, they started calling. My brother answered, asked where they were and sent the location. He couldn’t find it and said he’d take the subway back.”

The friends tried to tell Carlos to meet them and give up the subway. Then the messages stopped coming to his cell phone. The group searched around the stadium, they did not find it and understood that the young man had returned on the subway.

The report tried to contact the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro to find out if there is an investigation, but there was no response.

THE MESSAGES

The report had access to messages exchanged between Carlos and a friend. At 8:43 pm he mentions the possibility of taking the subway due to the difficulty of finding the group.

The last audio from Carlos is from 8:46 pm saying that he cannot open the location to follow. A minute later, the messages were gone.

Around 8 am on Monday, the family started calling Carlos, who hadn’t arrived and hadn’t heard from them. The man who answered said he bought the device from a drug addict in Madureira and asked for R$ 400 to return it.

“A lot of people were calling worried. This guy answers and every hour gives a different value. We have no way of knowing if it’s true. He gives the pix, says he doesn’t want to show his face.”

Carlos’ father has already been to the hospitals around the stadium, in police stations and at the IML, but without any sign of his son. He returned to Maracanã this Tuesday (21) looking for news.

The family has not yet received further information from the police on the matter. The case was registered at the 18th DP (Praça da Bandeira) and forwarded to the Whereabouts Discovery Police Station.

FAKE NEWS

After the disclosure on social networks to try to find Carlos, several false news are reaching the family members. Among them, asking for ransom and saying that the young man is in some favela in Rio.

In the Police Report, the father reported that the last time he was seen was at the Maracanã train station. He was arguing with other fans. Two of them were wearing Vasco’s blouses, and one from Flamengo. However, the family has already discovered that this is another false information.

The person who passed the information through the social network to a cousin of Carlos said that this happened around 20:10, 20:20. At this time, he was still talking with friends. The girl wasn’t sure if the men were arguing or joking.

The young man’s sister says that he even sent a photo inside the stadium and everything was fine.

The family members are scheduling a demonstration at Gate B of the Maracanã, on Rua Eurico Rabelo, at 7 pm this Tuesday.
