Now is the time to cheer them on with a beer. After some craft breweries dedicated their labels to honor the men’s team in Qatar, it was the girls’ turn at the World Cup.
All right, the games are in the morning (the World Cup takes place in Australia and New Zealand), a period that is not the best time to open a cold one. But you can celebrate the post-game victory quietly.
A Dádiva, from Várzea Paulista (SP), commanded by Luiza Lugli Tolosa, launches the session IPA Primeira Estrela, a reference to the objective of Marta, Bia Zaneratto, Debinha and company, who seek the unprecedented achievement.
The session IPA is a refreshing style, a good gateway for those who are starting out in the aromas and flavors of crafts. With 4.4% alcohol, the beer uses American hops, has a citric aroma and moderate bitterness and will be sold in 310 ml cans.
The beer was born from a partnership with Nossa Arena, a space in the Barra Funda region with society and beach tennis courts dedicated to women. The establishment, which will have a special program on every game day in Brazil, will be one of the places where it will be possible to find the Primeira Estrela, as well as bars specializing in handicrafts.
Cervejaria Nacional, in Pinheiros, launched Boomerang – Aussie Pale Ale, named after one of the symbols of the country in Oceania. The beer, made with Australian hops, has 5% alcohol, notes of cereals and 40 IBU (bitterness scale that is usually higher in IPAs), therefore, with a well-balanced bitterness.
Boomerang – Aussie Pale Ale is also available at Nacional delivery in Tatuapé, which serves the eastern region of São Paulo.
The World Cup runs until the 20th of August. After the debut against Panama (Monday, at 8 am), Brazil faces France, on 7/29, at 7 am, and Jamaica, on 8/2, also at 7 am. The best placement of the selection was the runner-up, in the 2007 World Cup.
