Service in the 25 urgent and emergency units will operate normally
Manaus (AM) – Due to the decree of the State Government that changes the functioning of state bodies on the days of matches of the Brazilian team in the 2023 Women’s World Cup, health units will undergo changes in the opening hours on Monday (24).
The units that attend scheduled consultations, such as the Child Care Centers (Caics), Care Centers for the Elderly (Caimis) will start the service from 11 am
The polyclinics will operate normally from 11 am, patients with care in the morning from 7 am to 10:59 am on July 24 were rescheduled and informed.
The hospitals of the health foundations will normally operate 24 hours a day, as well as the Blood Center, which will also have no change in opening hours.
Service at the 25 urgent and emergency units in Manaus will operate normally, on a 24-hour shift. The six emergency rooms, the seven maternity hospitals, the nine Emergency Services (SPAs), the two Emergency Care Units (UPAs) – Campo Sales, in the Tarumã neighborhood, and José Rodrigues, in Cidade Nova –, in addition to the emergency service at the Amazonas Mental Health Center (Cesmam).
The SPAs and UPAs deal with low and medium complexity urgent cases. For serious cases, the six emergency rooms, three for adults and three for children, will be operating normally. Care for pregnant women will also remain unchanged in the seven maternity hospitals in the state.
Inland, all 61 municipalities have hospital units with urgent and emergency care, daily, on a 24-hour basis.
