With government support, producers celebrate grain harvest in Amapá – News of Brazil

The opening of the second Amapá Soybean Harvest, a traditional event in the agro sector, this Saturday, the 15th, marks the appreciation of one of the vocations of the state, which is agriculture. The event, which was hosted by Fazenda Agropecuária Paraná, located on Highway AP 70, was attended by the governor, Clécio Luís.
“My presence here is to signal that we are committed to unlocking the development of agriculture in Amapá. We need to build consensus around the development of agriculture, whether on a large scale or in family farming”, highlighted Clécio.
Among the State Government’s incentives for the sector is land regularization and simplification of environmental license processes, maintaining sustainable development.
“Three months ago we went to the state of Roraima, where we learned about the licensing system and brought it to Amapá, it is being adapted to be put into use. In addition, of the 13 plots that have already been transferred to the state, 4 are already registered.
And another 8 must be transferred until the month of August to the State. The next step is to accredit technicians to divide the land and hand over title to the owners”, explained the governor.
During the event, producers displayed agricultural machinery, such as the harvester, responsible for harvesting, threshing and cleaning different grain crops, such as soy, oats, wheat, linseed.
At Paraná Farm alone, 870 hectares were planted, and the harvest per hectare was three tons. The person responsible for the property, Eleandro Lemos, spoke about expectations as a producer.
“For us producers, hope is reborn that we can contribute to the development of Amapá. The agro may be the beginning of the turnaround of industrialization. And this support that the State has given to all of us, whether in issuing licensing or in land regularization, only reinforces the commitment of the governor and management”, celebrated Lemos.
Governor Clécio, in the economic development axis of the government program, highlights the strengthening of agribusiness as one of the alternatives for generating employment and income, and a source of revenue for the state.
In May, the governor met with businessmen from the sector to discuss the development of agribusiness with a focus on environmental, political and legal security. Among the subjects discussed were the processes of environmental licensing, authorization of vegetation suppression and land tenure regularization.
“The governor, since the campaign, said he would unlock the state and agribusiness would be a reality in Amapá. Today he is here confirming that he is interested in seeing Amapá grow, with all its secretaries working towards this objective. So what he committed to doing is happening. We thank you for that”, said the producer, Renan Massoni.
The harvest party is a traditional event among producers. It is a time to share the fruits of the land and the achievements of the workers. It is done during the period in which the production of the fields is harvested. Producers put in weeks and months to finally be rewarded.
The secretaries of State for the Environment (Sema), Taísa Mendonça, Rural Development (SDR), Kelson Vaz, Amapá Terras, Reneval Tupinambá, and the Amapá Development Agency, Jurandil Juarez, participated in the event.
