Correios launched a stamp commemorating the 80th anniversary of the creation of the former territory. The ceremony marks the opening of the festivities of the “Amapá 80 years old”. the senator Randolph Rodrigues, the Governor of the State of Amapá, Clecio Luis, the President of the Post Office, Fabiano Silva dos Santosand other local authorities, participated this Friday (02) in the launch of the institutional seal in allusion to the 80 years of creation of the former Federal territory of Amapá.
The Brazilian Postal and Telegraph Company (ECT) carried out the rite of obliteration of the seal, that is, performed the act of stamping the seal, making it officially launched.
“Amapá has a history that needs to be rescued and valued. It is much more than launching a label, it is the appreciation of our tradition and rescue of our origins”, explained randolf one of the creators of the moment.

The art of the commemorative stamp was developed by the plastic artist from Amapá, designer, illustrator and art director, Ralfe Braga, whose talent is recognized internationally. The artist’s works are also on display inside the Market Central de Macapá and at the Brasília airport, for example.

The activity will be the first of a series of actions due to the 80 years of creation of the former Territory of Amapá. “We are going to make an extensive agenda until 2024, with activities to rescue our amapality”, explained the governor Clecio.
This year’s June season and expo-fair will have birthdays as their theme. Also for the second semester, an intermunicipal football championship, the Selo Verde Fair, among other activities, are planned.
