This Wednesday, February 1, the inauguration of the 24 state deputies who will compose the 9th Legislature of the Legislative Assembly (Alap), for the four-year period 2023-2027. The ceremony is scheduled for 2 pm at the ‘Nelson Salomão’ Palace, seat of the state Legislature.
The Amapá parliament had a 50% renovation. Among those re-elected, the veteran of terms and current president of the House, deputy Kaká Barbosa (PL) and deputy Alliny Serrão (UB), wife of the mayor of Laranjal do Jari, Márcio Serrão; already among the ‘debutantes’ are the chief of police and former director of the State Traffic Department (Detran), Inácio Maciel (PDT) and the first lady of the municipality of Amapá, teacher Dayse Marques (SD).
State deputies, in addition to overseeing the Executive, have the attribution of proposing laws and presenting proposals for amendments to the State Constitution, in addition to approving the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO) and the Annual Budget Law (LOA).
