Wilson Lima announces Fausto Jr. to head Sedurb

New command

Confirmation was made this Wednesday (27) by the governor of Amazonas

Manaus (AM) – The announcement made this Wednesday (27) by the governor of Amazonas, Wilson Lima (UB), during the inauguration of the Mayor José Fernandes road complex, confirms federal deputy Fausto Jr. in charge of the Metropolitan Urban Development Secretariat (Sedurb) . With this change, the position of parliamentarian in the Federal Chamber will be occupied by Pauderney Avelino (UB).

“With great gratitude and joy, I accept this new mission from Governor Wilson Lima and my party União Brasil. I will be committed to boosting yet another crucial sector in our state and guaranteeing the quality of life of Amazonians”,

declared Fausto Jr. on his social networks.

For the governor of Amazonas, the presence of Fausto Jr. in the portfolio marks União Brasil’s strategy for housing policy in the state and will continue the work that is already being carried out, prioritizing basic sanitation and housing projects.

Investment in housing solutions this year totaled around R$100 million. The holder will continue with the objective of acquiring federal resources for the sector.

Former federal deputy and former secretary of the government of Amazonas Pauderney Avelino is an alternate and immediate replacement to take over as federal deputy in place of Fausto Júnior. With the confirmation of the parliamentarian joining the urban development secretariat, his mandate in the Chamber of Deputies is under license.

The movement is carried out by the party at the state and federal level, as a measure to resolve the obstacle between Pauderney and Wilson over the presidency of União Brasil in Amazonas. Furthermore, the change enables the candidacy of Roberto Cidade, president of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam), for the 2024 Manaus Mayoral elections.

In recent weeks, the deputy’s name was expected to be nominated by the acronym to command the State Secretariat for Cities and Territories (SECT) or the Secretariat for Urban and Metropolitan Development (Sedurb).

In addition to the change in Sedurb, there is also a change in the holder of SECT. Lawyer Renata Queiroz, who specializes in public law and has worked in the public sector for 10 years, in technical positions in the Legislative and Executive branches, will take over as secretary from this Wednesday (27).

In the old political configuration, engineer Marcellus Campêlo, former health secretary during Wilson Lima’s first term, was in charge of Sedurb and João Coelho Braga, ‘Braguinha’, was in charge of SECT.

Due to this move, Marcellus Campêlo will move to the Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE), working in priority areas for the Government of Amazonas.
