Wife of Daniel Alves, Joana Sanz resumes her modeling career this weekend. She confirmed that she will show at Madrid fashion week – the event started on Wednesday and will run until Sunday. It will be her first public appearance after the scandal of her husband’s arrest on January 20, accused of raping a 23-year-old girl in a Barcelona nightclub in December. The Spaniard also assured that this was only possible thanks to the psychological help she has been receiving.

“As many of you already know, I’m back on the Spanish catwalks. Tomorrow I’ll be at Madrid Fashion Week. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of a professional, without the help of a psychologist, who helps me a little with this public exposure, to be physically judged, like so many of my colleagues in the profession, we have to deal with it”, said Sanz this Thursday, in an Instagram story, praising the initiative of the event to house booths of psychological clinics.

According to the Spanish press, the model will walk the runway on Saturday for the Lola Casademunt brand, with which she has worked several times in Barcelona. Her return to public life comes in a crucial week for Daniel Alves: he awaits the Barcelona Court’s final decision on whether he should remain in prison or await trial on parole.

The year 2023 has barely begun and can already be considered the hardest for Sanz. She lost her mother in January, just days before Daniel was arrested. To make matters worse, the model announced on Wednesday the death of her dog, the bulldog Coco.

The model has not spoken openly about the charge against her husband since his arrest. The Spanish press ensures that she filed for divorce, but she ended up making a deal with his lawyers to keep up appearances until he is tried and the sentence is handed down. The last time Sanz spoke about it was after visiting the player in prison. “I’m not going to leave you alone at the worst time of your life,” she said at the time.
