Where to taste typical Brazilian food at the Bom Gourmet Festival!

Brazil has a cuisine that is distinguished by its combinations of flavors, spices and textures. Characteristics that provide a unique and remarkable experience to gastronomy lovers. And being a country with a rich cuisine, with several local cuisines, it is clear that Brazilian food could not be missing from the biggest gastronomy festival in the South of Brazil, the Festival Bom Gourmet.

With that in mind, we have prepared this guide with six restaurants participating in this 17th edition in the capital of Paraná and which have Brazilian dishes on their menus. But run to enjoy it because the Festival only takes place until the 26th of March, so check out our indications and choose an establishment to immerse yourself in the flavors of the local cuisine.

Kore – Qoya

For those looking to taste regional cuisine or even miss home food, Koré Qoya is the ideal place. In this edition of the Bom Gourmet Festival, the restaurant features signature cuisine with dishes prepared with local ingredientsall to provide consumers with a unique gastronomic experience with Brazilian food.

Among the options served at the Festival, there are the main dishes: “grilled shrimp”, fresh pasta with roe sauce and “pressed rib”, with chestnut crust, corn cream and mushroom sauce. To end the menu, the desserts with typical fruits from Brazil, being the “lemon and basil sorbet”, with port wine reduction and the “mango and pistachio entremet”. The same menu can be seen at lunch and dinner for R$109.90. The restaurant is located at Rua Avenida Sete de Setembro, 4211, in Batel.

Badida Noble Meats

One of the most popular and traditional dishes in our country is the barbecue, and for lovers of this typical Brazilian meal, Festival Bom Gourmet has two units of Badida Noble Meats (Parkshoppingbarigüi and Sete de Setembro). Being a steakhouse, it offers the best in noble meats and special cuts.

At the Festival, visitors can taste a complete menu, at lunch and dinner (R$ 109.90)with the restaurant’s flagship, as in the main course “flank steak with biro-biro rice and farofa”, which is rice with straw potato, sausage and eggs, and farofa with cassava flour, eggs, olives and scallion.

The same menu can be found in both places, with the Parkshoppingbarigüi unit located at Rua Professor Pedro Viriato Parigot de Souza, 600, in Ecoville. The second unit is located in the Seminar, at Avenida Sete de Setembro, 6045.

Coconut Bamboo

Another place that has Brazilian food is the Coco Bambu, a restaurant that is a reference in seafood and was born in Fortaleza, Ceará. On the Festival Bom Gourmet menu, patrons can taste typical dishes made with the best ingredients, such as the “Aruba sun-dried meat” option, accompanied by baião de dois, bacon, red onion, coalho cheese, pout pepper, pumpkin and fresh cream . In addition to the main course, there is also the “mini cocada”, a traditional Brazilian sweet.

The same menu can be seen at both establishments (Conceito Barigui and Shopping Crystal), at lunch and dinner for the fixed price of R$89.90. The Concept Barigui unit is located at Rua Professor Viriato Parigot de Souza, 600, in Mossunguê. The one at Shopping Crystal is at Batel on Rua Comendador Araújo, 731.

Pepper Brasserie

In this restaurant participating in the Bom Gourmet Festival and which is commanded by chef Juliana Fagundes, it is possible to taste typical Brazilian food, starting with the entrance that takes one of the main fruits of our country, being the “ceviche of banana from the earth”, option served at lunch (R$69.90) and dinner (R$109.90). Among the main dishes, there are the options “baião de dois” and “pork ribeye with barbecue sauce”, both served at lunch.

The restaurant also has a vegetarian menu for the fixed price of R$69.90. Pimenta Brasserie is a café/restaurant that offers quality recipes and combinations that please all palates. The establishment is located in Alto da XV, at Rua XV De Novembro, 2056.

For fans of pub food, another typical specialty of our country, there is Boteco Curitiba, a restaurant that presents a menu with reinterpretations of the most classic pub recipes for the Bom Gourmet Festival.

With a full menu served at lunch and dinner (R$89.90) at both units (Jockey and Novo Mundo), it is possible to taste a delicious “fish moqueca with banana, rice and palm oil farofa with bacon” or a “pot meat, fried egg, rice with fried garlic and bacon farofa”. To end the gastronomic experience of Brazilian food, one of the sweets most loved by Brazilians, the “milk pudding”.

In addition to haute cuisine, the establishment also offers classic drinks and some of its own creations. The Novo Mundo unit is at Rua Antônio Gasparin, 5288. The Jockey unit is at Avenida Victor Ferreira do Amaral, 2633, in Tarumã.

Seafood is another ingredient that is present in several dishes of Brazilian food, therefore, this option could not be missing at the Bom Gourmet Festival.

So, for those looking to taste the flavors of the sea, Petiscaria do Victor brings a menu with this ingredient, as in the “shrimp in pineapple” option, consisting of rice with garlic, red onion, paprika, red pepper, peas, saffron, curry , almond, pineapple and shrimp. This Brazilian dish can be seen both at lunch and dinner menu which is offered for the fixed price of R$89.90.

The restaurant also has a separate attraction: the Gauden Bier beer, which has artisanal production, so customers can visit the place and taste the drink. The establishment is located in the gastronomic axis of Santa Felicidade, at Avenida Manoel Ribas, 6995.
