We need to “trick” abortion, drugs and gender ideology, says Michelle

In a speech during the PL Mulher meeting in Salvador (BA), on Saturday (10), former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro called on right-wing women to participate more actively in politics. During her speech, she used a fashionable expression and said that it is necessary to “cheat” the legalization of drugs, abortion and gender ideology in Brazil.

“We need to take a stand, women. For a long time, we neglected, we didn’t want to experience or want to know more about politics, and evil came and took over. We need to get involved, yes, because it is the future of our children that is compromised. We need – as they say here in Bahia –, we need to ‘cheat’… But it is to cheat the legalization of abortion, to cheat the legalization of drugs. We are going to cheat this evil gender ideology. We are going to cheat everything that the enemy and this damned extreme left, which is used for evil, they want to implant in our society”, said Michelle.

During this year’s Carnival, the expression “macetar” became a meme on the internet after a video of a conversation in an electric trio in Salvador between singers Ivete Sangalo and Baby from Brasil went viral. In the video, Baby warned the crowd about Jesus’ return. “We entered the Apocalypse,” said the singer, who is an evangelical pastor. Ivete Sangalo responded to the speech, stating that she would not let that happen. “There is no Apocalypse when we ‘maceta’ the Apocalypse”, said Ivete, in reference to a song of hers called “Macetando”.

In her speech, Michelle also launched several criticisms of President Lula and his administration, especially in relation to the treatment given to women.

“So much disregard for women… Therefore, the persona non grata, who says he values ​​women, does not value women; straight away, he has already removed women from high-ranking positions, who, in the opportunity he had to nominate women to the STF, could have nominated Cristianas, Flávias, and no: he nominated two men: the one who makes fun of a candidate in Venezuela [María Corina], who tells her to stop crying, who uses misogyny towards this woman, who is disrespectful, who supports a dictatorial government, who kills mothers, who expels women from their country, who expels nuns, who closes churches. These are the people that this current government defends, who rape, kill babies, who cut the woman’s belly and take the baby out,” she commented.

The former first lady also pointed out hypocrisy in the way Lula inserts women into his administration. “We don’t want women just for quotas, we want women because they have a special perspective on politics. Women transform their pain into causes, they transform their pain into an agenda, and we need good women, women who know take care,” he said.
