Vasco fluctuates, but wins Bangu and gets an advantage against Flamengo in Carioca

What draws the most attention from Vasco is the lack of reliable penalty takers in the starting lineup — Nenê is a substitute and his contract is nearing the end, with no prospect of it being renewed until December or not. After Pedro Raul missed a kick against Flamengo, it was Alex Teixeira’s turn to try to beat him, with a dubious penalty on Paulo Victor.
