Unprecedented challenge between Favela Kombat and XForce MMA arrives in Macaé-RJ in March

On March 19, an unprecedented MMA event will land in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, with the Favela Kombat vs XForce MMA challenge. In the main event, Lincon Sá and Tiago Pitbull, two Macanese athletes, will fight for the bantamweight belt. In the co-main event, also in an expected local showdown, Max Xigo and Lucas Gurgel will face each other. In all, the card, which will be broadcast live on Combate, SporTV and Globoplay, will consist of 15 clashes.

Known for giving visibility to many hidden talents within Rio’s communities, Favela Kombat joins XForce MMA for the first time, an event from Macaé that also provides opportunities for local athletes. The expectation, of course, is for high-level fights.

“Talking about Favela Kombat is easy, just follow the success of previous editions. Furthermore, it is an event that helps young people from social projects, reveals talents for the world of MMA even outside Brazil. XForce, on the other hand, generates opportunities for athletes here , for the city. I’m sure everyone will have great fights and we’ll have a great show”, said Marvel Paulino Maillet, a Jiu-Jitsu black belt who works at the head of Macaé’s Sports Secretariat.

In addition to the excellent work inside the cage, the social side of the two companies is also a great differential of this partnership with Macaé. Working with social projects for over 20 years, Marvel has highlighted this importance:

“The evaluation of martial arts sports in our region is very positive. There are several projects that are in Macaé and around, and they leave nothing to be desired. As a black belt and leader of social projects, I can guarantee that the The results are wonderful, not only in the competitions, but in the lives of the participants. Today as secretary, I am able to bring this experience I went through to work on behalf of the city”, he said, who also added:

XForce organizer highlights partnership

Founded in 2015, XForce started with a Jiu-Jitsu event and today also has its MMA arm. This expansion is mainly due to the work carried out by Henrique Xavier, responsible for XForce and who saw his life change through the fights.

“Eight years ago, three friends had the idea of ​​setting up XForce and called me. I have a visual communication company and everything related to the event was done in my store, and after Max, the creator, warned that he was going to move to the United States, I decided to buy his share and that of the other partners. It was something that changed my life. The current moment of the event is of growth, now with live transmission, an enormous and positive change”, explained Henrique, who continued about the partnership with Favela Kombat and their expectation for the challenge on March 19:
