United Airlines, one of the main airlines connecting Brazil to the United States, opens a concept store next Monday (13) at 777 Av. Paulista, in the same building where its headquarters in Brazil operates — which already functioned as a customer service point for the company.

With the new space, the company offers more comfort to customers, who can be served while sitting, for example. The opening of the store comes in the wake of the brand’s ambitious expansion plan which, in Brazil, includes increasing the number of seats offered (thanks to the allocation of larger and more modern aircraft for Brazilian routes) and the establishment of a maintenance hangar at Galeão airport, in Rio de Janeiro.

“Today we are already the largest airline in the world in terms of fleet and revenue per passenger. We recently purchased more than 800 aircraft, we are growing the structure to receive these aircraft. Brazil was one of the markets chosen”, says Jacqueline Conrado, manager at United in Brazil. “It is a super important country in our global strategy, both due to the consistent growth of our operations here and the potential to continue growing.”

In March of this year, United returned to flying from Guarulhos airport to Washington, DC. The route was the last to be resumed post-pandemic and, with it, the company now has a greater offer of seats than in 2019 — even greater than its direct competitors, such as Delta and American Airlines. In addition to the capital of the United States, United also flies from São Paulo to Houston, Chicago and New York, and from Rio de Janeiro to Houston.

“Our direct destinations in the USA are, notably, corporate destinations. But with immense tourist potential, which gives us many opportunities for growth in the leisure segment. The new store is a step towards being closer to these customers, who are increasingly more demanding”, explains the executive. “These are customers willing to pay, but in return they want superior service. Our sector is no longer a commodity, and that’s why we are investing a lot in service.”

Conrado says that, due to the peculiarities of the Brazilian market, it is a great laboratory for the company’s new features, such as service via Whatsapp, for example.

“It’s something we don’t have in the United States, for example, but we have here, because it’s a very characteristic channel for the Brazilian market,” she explains. “This new store is a model that is being implemented here to later be replicated in Rio de Janeiro, where we have two stores, and in all our bases in Latin America.”
