Unicamp (State University of Campinas) is accepting registrations for courses in Mandarin, Kung Fu, Chinese painting and calligraphy until the 23rd of July. Scheduled for the second half of this year, the classes are offered by the Confucius Institute, the result of an agreement with the Jiaotong University in Beijing.
There are 15 Chinese language modules divided between face-to-face and online teaching, costing BRL 600.00 each. Unicamp students have a 90% discount, and people from outside the university can apply for a scholarship through a form available on the institute’s website.
Chinese painting and calligraphy classes and the three kung fu modalities (Tai Ji Quan, Ba Duan Jin and Wu Bu Qua) are free and face-to-face at the Barão Geraldo campus, in Campinas.
Those interested must register through the Extecamp system for the Mandarin modules or through the Confucius Institute website for the other classes, where the timetable is also available.
