Trump sends book to Bolsonaro and says he is ‘fantastic’ – 06/20/2023 – Mônica Bergamo

Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) received this Tuesday (20) Donald Trump’s book that brings together correspondence between the former US president and politicians and public figures from around the world.

The list includes emblematic figures such as Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill and Hillary Clinton, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, television presenter Oprah Winfrey, Princess Diana, singer Liza Minnelli – and Bolsonaro.

“Letters to Trump” was released in April, and quickly made the Amazon bestseller list.
The Brazilian occupies four pages of the publication, in which Trump publishes a letter he received from him and photos of when they were together.

“Jair—You are great,” Trump wrote to Bolsonaro, calling the president by his first name.

Bolsonaro, who has been dispatching daily at the PL headquarters in Brasília, showed the book to the people he received in his office this morning, such as former Secretary of Communication Fabio Wajngarten and former Minister of Tourism Gilson Machado.

Like Trump, he also faces problems with the judiciary, and should be declared ineligible by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) this month.

Trump published a letter in the book in which Bolsonaro said that the two, when they led their respective countries, worked together and won “lasting victories that will bear fruit for future generations”.

“It is of the utmost importance that our countries always aim at cooperation and partnership and that the friendship between these two great nations grows ever stronger.”

Before signing, Bolsonaro wrote to Trump that he “will always have a partner and friend in Brazil”.
