Manaus (AM) – Manaus City Hall transit agents have been on duty since the last August 30th in the central area of ​​the city, monitoring the roads that will be part of the itinerary circuit for the realization of “#SouManaus Passo a Paço” on the 5th , 6 and 7 September. Every day, 20 agents make rounds with motorcycles and vehicles, in addition to working at fixed inspection posts.

“The main objective of the action is to ensure the safety and fluidity of traffic during the event, minimizing the impact on residents of the region. We want to ensure that the event takes place smoothly and safely for everyone involved, our transport agents and inspectors have been monitoring the roads since the last 30th and collaborating with the road safety of the workers who are setting up the structure of the event. event”,

So far, some roads and sections of the central area have already been closed to the flow of vehicles and urban transport in preparation for the “#SouManaus Passo a Paço” event.

The closures include Rua Governador Vitório, in the section between Avenida 7 de Setembro and Rua Visconde de Mauá, the segment from Rua Padre Ghislândy to 7 de Setembro is also closed. Avenida 7 de Setembro, between Epaminondas and Rua Governador Vitório, is also closed, as is Praça Dom Pedro, which is also closed to traffic.

Closures from 6 am from 9/5 to 7/9

Rua Governador Vitório between Rua Padre Ghislandy and Rua Visconde de Mauá (local access only for residents, event workers and the Navy).

Rua Frei José dos Inocentes and Rua Bernardo Ramos, between Avenida Epaminondas and Rua Governador Vitório (local access).

Avenida 7 de Setembro between Rua Taqueirinha and Avenida Epaminondas.

Rua 15 de Novembro will be interdicted between Rua Visconde de Mauá and Avenida 7 de Setembro.

From Rua 10 de Julho on both sides of the road, between Rua Luiz Antony and Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, vehicle parking will be prohibited. The measure is necessary for the road corridor to be used by public transport buses.

9 am

Avenida Epaminondas, between Rua da Instalacao and Rua Padre Ghislandy, will be closed to the circulation of vehicles and public transport. The entire fleet of public transport will be diverted to the street of the Installation.

3pm

Rua Luiz Antony, between Rua 10 de Julho and Rua Padre Ghislandy, will have the flow of vehicles diverted to Rua 10 de Julho.

7 pm

The entire road corridor of Epaminondas will be exclusively for public transport, with screening starting at Avenida Leonardo Malcher with Constantino Nery. The entire flow of vehicles will be diverted to Rua 10 de Julho, including public transport. Agents will be monitoring the site.

There will be a ban on Rua Lobo D’Almada between José Clemente and 10 de Julho, diverting traffic to José Clemente.

The bus lines will follow the normal route along Avenida Epaminondas until 10 de Julho, where they will be diverted to it.

Bus itinerary change options

Another route for buses will be the detours to Rua 10 de Julho to Avenida Getúlio Vargas, head towards Bairro/Centro and turn left onto Avenida 7 de Setembro, or towards Centro/Bairro towards T1 or to the neighborhood.

The IMMU reinforces that from 7 pm, the road corridor on Avenida Epaminondas will be given priority for the circulation of public transport buses. In addition to this measure, the lines that will undergo changes in the route will be informed in advance so that the user can plan and have access to public transport.
